Charcoal Demo
10:45am-11:15am (EST)
Description
I will briefly explain the multiple skills that drawing involves, and teach you how to direct students’ attention effectively. We will practice foundational technical skills, and you’ll be taught to shift your focus to true visual facts instead of theoretical ones.
We will start with basic lines, proper posture, and establishing simple muscle memory habits. I will show you how to clearly observe light and shadow, then demonstrate how to capture them on paper with charcoal. This will help you understand what to ask of your students and how to coach them in the art of seeing!
